Privacy

Tend is designed to keep your data with you. The short version: your trees live on your device, and Tend does not run accounts, ads, or third-party tracking.
What Tend stores
- Your trees. Each tree is saved locally as a compact record of its seed and the care you gave it. This lives in the app's own storage on your device.
- App settings. Preferences and the app's local state, stored on device.
What Tend does not do
- No account is required to grow a tree.
- No advertising identifiers, ad networks, or third-party analytics SDKs.
- Your trees are not uploaded to a Tend server; there is no Tend server holding your garden.
Backups and sharing
You can export a tree as a small backup file and import it elsewhere. When you choose to share or back up a tree, that file goes wherever you send it (for example, iCloud, Files, or another app) under that service's own terms.
Diagnostics
If Tend is distributed through TestFlight or the App Store, Apple may provide standard, aggregate crash and usage information subject to your device settings and Apple's privacy policy. This is handled by Apple, not by a Tend-operated server.
